Portable Outdoor Furniture Gazebo ?! Yup, Its true!

One of the best jobs in the world is to serve in the United States Armed Forces. Whether it is in the Navy, Army, Marines, or Air Force, a career in the US Military is one of the most coveted jobs. Perhaps one of the main attractions of a military career is that it offers people with adventurous souls an opportunity to travel across the US and the entire world.

But if your job requires you to constantly transfer from one place to another, you might have noticed that you are not able to enjoy home outdoor activities that traditionally require a permanent structure like a  outdoor furniture gazebo.

An outdoor furniture gazebo is very handy during outdoor activities like barbeque parties. Traditional gazebos are fixed structures. However, a permanent outdoor furniture gazebo would not be very sensible for some people, including those who need to constantly move from one place to another.

There is, however, an alternative for such people: the portable outdoor furniture gazebo. If installing a fixed gazebo is not an option for you, then you should consider one that can quickly be moved from one place to another.

Benefits of a Portable outdoor furniture Gazebo

Portability:

The main advantage of a portable gazebo over a traditional fixed outdoor furniture gazebo is its portability. You can just assemble this gazebo when you need to use it. If you do not need to use it, you just store it anywhere in your house. And when the time comes for you to move to a different area, this outdoor furniture  gazebo will not be a problem since it is not bulky and it can be easily transported.

Flexible and Can Be Used for Many Purposes:

One thing that is great with a portable outdoor furniture gazebo is that it is flexible enough to be used for various purposes. It can be used to provide shelter for your guests during outdoor parties. Or you can also use it to serve as an impromptu car canopy if you have just bought a new car that is waiting for the renovation of your garage. This outdoor furniture gazebo can also be handy in the summer since you can set it up to serve as your kids’ playing area. You can also pack it up and use it when you go camping to serve as an extra shelter. The only limit for the use of this type of gazebo is your imagination.

Maximum Protection from the Elements:

Summer is getting hotter and hotter these days. You should take measures on ensuring that your family will remain protected from the harmful effects of UV rays this summer. Summer is a time where children spend time playing in the yard or garden. Do not leave them unprotected from UV rays. You could have a portable outdoor furniture gazebo in your yard so that your kids can have fun outdoors and stay safe from harmful UV rays. Also, you can use the outdoor furniture gazebo to provide shelter for your guests during outdoor activities, like barbecue parties and casual gatherings.

Choosing your outdoor furniture Gazebo

There are many types of portable gazebos out on the market. The best types are those that have aluminum, steel, or iron frames. They come in various designs and colors. The one that you should choose should fit the atmosphere of your yard or garden. But before you buy an outdoor furniture gazebo, you should look at the size and dimensions of your yard. You would not want an under-sized or over-sized gazebo. For many homes, a 10×10 gazebo would suffice.

Different Accessories For Your Outdoor Furniture Gazebo

There are gazebos that you can buy as kits that are considered a three season outdoor furniture gazebo. Why? Because they are crafted from aluminum that’s heavy-duty and has slider style windows that protect from cold and wind and rain and other inclement days. For full summertime breeze and fresh air, the panes of glass may be removed and screens may be added, or  outdoor furniture gazebo curtains that don’t permit mosquitoes to enter can be attached with Velcro.

There are so many to recommend, but let’s start with one called Leisure Woods outdoor furniture gazebo, mostly because you can choose so many different materials like cedar, pine or even the maintenance free vinyl models. If you choose to go with a cedar design, then you will be assured to have the top grade wood that has been kiln dried, and it’s red cedar which is very durable to say nothing of how great it looks. One of the reason many people opt for red cedar gazebos is because of the natural oils in the wood that inhibits rot and termites. The other good choice would be a preasure treated pine model in what is called the Wolmanized wood that is treated against fungus, decay and termites. Naturally thepine is also kiln dried. Perhaps one of the best choices for long lasting gazebo structures that will not require any maintenance afterwards, are the vinyl gazebos which are crafted from reinforced vinyl and can be added to a deck and can have rubber or even asphalt shingles on the roof.

The Curtains For Your Gazebo

That brings us to outdoor furniture gazebo curtains, which you may want no matter which type of structure you choose. Since there are so many styles and shapes, it’s really best to have your curtains custom made or make them yourself from mosquito netting. Attach them to the sides of windows and doors with Velcro to ensure insects remain outside. There are some online shops that specialize in making custom curtains for gazebos that are heavy-duty and some that allow an invisible look because the netting is dark instead of white or metallic. Mosquito Curtains is one such shop, and although it’s small, they offer a really good selection of products.

Other Outdoor Patio Cover Ideas

Although an outdoor furniture  gazebo may be placed on a deck, it won’t cover a large area but will create a cozy space that’s private. If you need a covering that is easy to put up and comes in a kit, then try the most recent Alumawood kits that are easy to install and are engineered with interconnecting components that make a complete system that you can do yourself, they say, in a weekend. BTW, Alumawood kits are also available in wood finishes to match most outdoor furniture gazebo designs.

Outdoor Furniture Gazebo.. Different Types

The outdoor furniture gazebo is a free standing structures typically placed in garden locations for decoration and as a center piece for special occasions and functions. They can be built in several different ways, in different sizes, and using a variety of materials, according to the needs and preferences of the person having them built. Their makeup differs by many degrees according to culture and purpose. Here are some different kinds of gazebos:

A kiosk is a very small three walled outdoor furniture gazebo that nowadays is associated with the sale of small items in a high traffic shopping area, just as they were centuries ago. There are kiosks for almost anything small and portable, and some have things like information, maps, and computers for researching. The origin of the word, as well as the idea of selling things from these mini stores, is Turkish, where small buildings in marketplaces were used to sell wares. They used to be made of wood, but now can be made of any sturdy material.

The word belvedere is from the Italian meaning “pretty view.” A belvedere is made for taking in the scenery, as with most gazebos. However, they are built higher up and are attached to a building for the best and most expanse view in a given area. Turrets on a castle are a kind of belvedere.

Pergolas are long gazebos that consist of an overhead archway supported by pillars. They are given “character” by the deliberately planted climbing plants growing around and about it. They are normally made of wrought iron, but can be made from vinyl, wood, or a combination of glass and stone, too.

Pagodas are layered tower structures generally found in Asian countries, and are used most often as religious temples. Although a type of outdoor furniture gazebo, they are not as often used the same as traditional gazebos. They were made of wood, but have been made of steel and other more sturdy material. Because these structures were tall, they attracted lightning easily, and so were built with a spire that would both attract the lightning and keep it from striking other parts of the pagoda.

Rotundas are large gazebos that are circular in shape, and have a domed roof. They are of European origin and most of them are found there, specifically in Central Europe, although the style has been adopted in many places around the world. The dome on the White House and many state capitol buildings are examples of rotundas.

A pavilion is another outdoor furniture gazebo, typically simple and relatively small in size, situated very close to a main structure. A garden pavilion may or may not be very close to a main building, and in fact can be pretty removed for other buildings, like in a picnic area of a park. Sometimes gazebos are quite large, even house sized, like a pool house, or palace sized.

Follies are gazebos that are strictly for decoration. They are decorative and may be very intricate in detail. Some look as if they can be used for functions, parties, or even housing, but are, in fact, simply for visitor’s viewing pleasure.

Reasonable patio furniture?

My husband and I just closed on our new home! We take posession in a month. The main selling feature for us was the fact that it has the MOST amazing backyard with a lagoon style pool, hot tub, palm/fruit trees, and gazebo. We would love some nice looking furniture (chaise lounges, a big dining set, comfortable lounge chairs etc). We live in Florida, where we can spend 9-10 months a year outdoors, so it seems like a reasonable place to furnish nicely!

Does anybody have any recommendations for beautiful outdoor furniture that won’t break the bank? I wish that we could order from Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware, but it just doesn’t seem smart to spend ,000 on furniture that’s going to get rained on when we have young children who need college funds!!

I’m a big online shopper… any tips would be much appreciated :-)

Made an outdoor bar at home and everyone wants to come over and drink.?

Last year we took out our broken hot tub and put a Tiki Bar in an enclosed Gazebo added wicker furniture speakers and TV and it is a great hit with friends & family. However, nobody brings beer or liquior. We provide drinks, snacks, music and sometimes babysitting when they bring young kids. (we have bon fires when it is cold at night.) A friend was out with a group of people & called me to say everyone is coming to Tiki bar, I laughed and said yah right! At first it was funny but, now We are tired of MOOCHERS!!! I can’t believe people can be so inconsiderate. I recently told people to bring some beer if they wanted to drink in Tiki bar and they brought a six pack for themself and does not ask to come over anymore. I never went to a friends house empty handed.~ I need some advice.~ I don’t want people to stop coming, I just want them to pitch in on the cost or bring a bottle from time to time. Feeling USED and Abused!!!
